The woman driver's husband is a character from City of Fire. He was with his wife when she lost control of the red Ford Thunderbird convertible she was driving, causing the underground car park fire that destroyed the Thompson Tower.

- The puppet that played the woman driver's husband also appeared as a passenger on board Fireflash in Trapped in the Sky , and as the second scientist in The Mighty Atom. In Vault Of Death, it played both the policeman and a Bank of England employee at the roll call. It was also seen as an operator at the Solar Control Centre in The Perils of Penelope.
