(or, What Were You Doing, That Christmas Eve?)

(From Eagle Transporter Forum, December 23)

I belong to the Class of 1968 - in some ways a good year, but in so many more a truly horrible one. And then, near the end of it, came this: Apollo 8...

Apollo 7 had already led the way back up into space for us, after the terrible loss of Apollo 1 the year before. But this would be like nothing before...or, really, since...

Here's what Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders (all, happily, still with us!) were doing, 50 Christmas Eves ago...as my family watched and listened, from my grandparents' house...

From CBS News Sunday Morning (introduction by Jane Pauley; note: preceded by commercial):

They truly did save 1968...

PS: Yes, Virginia, you can track Santa this year, on Christmas Eve! Here's link to 2018 NORAD Santa Tracker:

(Note: as always, if difficulty with either/both of these links, pls advise...)

Hi, everybody! Sorry to have been absent from these pages recently - holiday rush just put me underwater, this year! Already resolved to do better in 2019...so, here's wishing a very happy and safe holiday season to all my Thunderbirds Wiki friends!!

Best, always, :-) --Boatshewsd2 (talk) 20:53, December 23, 2018 (UTC)  :-)
