International Rescue races against time to prevent the ship from capsizing, while defending themselves against the hostile rebel leaders and the imminent arrival of the San Miguel army.

Trivia[]

  • The audio-story starts off with International Rescue concluding a mission involving a hotel fire in New York, which required Thunderbirds 1 and 2 with Scott, Virgil and Alan.
  • In the audio version Scott sees the President for himself aboard Thunderbird 1 in New York, and Jeff watches the ocean liner live on television on Tracy Island; whereas, in the original comic , Scott and Jeff use Thunderbird 1 for a rare outing to see the new atomic ocean liner for themselves.
  • Thunderbird 1 has a new anti-surveillance system, presumably an upgrade from its automatic camera detector.
  • Tin-Tin assists Scott in Thunderbird 1 with the rescue of the villagers, whereas in the original comic, she did not appear at all.
  • Brains stays on Tracy Island, whereas in the original comic, he went with Virgil aboard Thunderbird 2.
  • Following on with a standard set in the earlier novel and comic strip adaptations, the gender of several guest male characters have been changed, such as the rebel leader, Juan, is now named Juana and portrayed by Genevieve Gaunt.
  • When Juana laments how her followers have betrayed her ideals for the sake of wealth, Tin-Tin remarks that someone betrayed her father in a similar manner.
  • In the audio-story, San Miguel is a fictional country somewhere in Central America, whereas the original story is set in Nicaragua.
  • In the original comic of The Revolution, Casta and Gorem deceived the army of Nicaragua into believing that International Rescue have sided with the rebels, whereas in the audio version, they claim that the rebels have hijacked the Thunderbird craft and killed the pilots.
  • Some of the dialogue implies that Tin-Tin is wearing a more traditional International Rescue uniform, compared to what she wore in Sun Probe and The Uninvited.
  • Tin-Tin and Juana race to convince the army to stop the attack, whereas in the original story, it is Gordon and Juan who do this. In the audio version, Gordon is too injured to make the run himself.
  • As in the original comic strip, Thunderbird 4 gets damaged beyond repair under the weight of President, which implies that Thunderbird 4 is rebuilt shortly afterwards.
  • As in the original comic, when International Rescue come under attack from the army, Scott uses Thunderbird 1's smokescreen device which was previously used in Lord Parker's 'Oliday.
