"The Nuclear Threat" is the 22nd Thunderbirds comic story published in TV21, between issues 192 and 196 in 1968.
Synopsis[]
A treaty has been drawn up to destroy a fifth of the world's nuclear bombs by detonating them in a remote part of the ocean. Although the first detonation goes off without a problem, the second one goes astray when the escort cruiser runs aground on a reef and loses control over the remotely controlled cargo ship carrying the explosives. With only two and a half hours before they are primed to explode, and carrying enough explosives to destroy an entire country, someone is going to need to get the ship under control before it collides with a island that over 20,000 people call home.
