Trivia[]
- The Hood specifically uses his talents of disguise to impersonate someone else (in this case, pilot James Munroe), rather than hiding his true likeness. While this would be rare for the villain, Thunderbirds Are Go!'s take on the character would see him frequently in disguise as other people.
- Charlie and Cooper are mining for uranium. Scott questions why, as the world has become so overstocked with the chemical element that it's essentially become worthless.

IMAI's Excavator kit (cover drawn by Shigeru Komatsuzaki)
- The excavating machine in this story - which is visibly not the same one that was seen in Martian Invasion - would later go on to be the subject of at least three different Japanese model kits.
Goofs[]
- Thunderbird 1 is said to have no weapons, despite the aircraft usually being equipped with a machine gun.
