"The Enemy Spy" is a Lady Penelope comic story, first published over four pages in the 1965 TV Century 21 Summer Extra as an untitled adventure.

The story was illustrated by Frank Hampson, who was best known for creating and illustrating Dan Dare, a comic hero series published in Eagle. It would be Hampson's only contribution to Thunderbirds media. Only the last two pages were in colour for its original publication, with the first two being in black and white to save costs.

Synopsis[]

Top Bereznik assassin Igor Slanovitch has been spotted arriving in London, causing concern for Lady Penelope who wonders who has he come to kill. The secret agent sets out on his tail and discovers his target: the World President.

Reprint History[]

The story made its way into issues 57 and 58 of Thunderbirds: The Comic as The Enemy Spy, where the first two pages were colourised to match the last two pages.

It would also appear in two comic collections: the first as Danger in Unity City for Carlton's Thunderbirds Classic Comic Strips in 2003. The second was volume one of Egmont's Thunderbirds: The Comic Collection in 2013, again as The Enemy Spy.
