"The Big Freeze" is the fourth and final story in Danger and Deception, an audio release in Anderson Entertainment's series of Thunderbirds audio adventures. It was adapted by Ben Page from comic story of the same name, originally published as part of TV Century 21's Thunderbirds comic series.
Synopsis[]
A failed missile defence test at Camp 21st Century leaves the personnel of the Antarctic base freezing to death and in deadly danger of radiation poisoning. Thunderbirds 1 and 2 race to the danger zone, but the harsh polar conditions hamper their rescue efforts and leave the chances of success perilously slim.

Trivia[]
- As in the original comic strip, Thunderbird 2 (Pod 4) carries the Firefly as well as Thunderbird 4. However, unlike the original comic strip, Thunderbird 2 doesn't carry the transporter vehicles to carry the new reactor.
- Alan takes charge of the Firefly to tackle the reactor inferno.
- Unlike the original comic strip, there is a scene where Scott delivers the radiation-sickness patient to Baffin Hospital.
Goofs[]
- In the description of the story on the back cover of Danger and Deception, it states that Camp 21st Century is in Antarctic polar region. However, as in the original comic strip, Camp 21st Century is in the Arctic polar region.
