"The Amazon Affair" is the fourth story in Countdown's series of Thunderbirds comics, published as a complete 5-page adventure in issue 14 of the magazine. It was the second and final story to have been originally printed in just a single issue, the first having been the second story.
Synopsis[]
An offical mineral surveying team scouting out the Amazon Basin in South America sends out a desperate distress call in the middle of the night to International Rescue after coming under attack. With the radio line going dead before John can get all the details, Scott has his work cut out for him trying to find their camp in the dense jungle - but what he does end up finding is only an empty campsite... and a single, huge, and fresh reptilian footprint...
