"Terror Mountain" is an original short story that was published in the Thunderbirds annual for 1968. As is usual for annual stories, no author or artist were credited.
Synopsis[]
The president of the Asian country of Rambodia decides to lead a mountaineering expedition up an unscaled 12,000 foot high mountain, in a metaphor for how he is leading the country from the 'gloom of its miserable history'. The stunt doesn't go to plan however when an avalcneh barrels down the mountain, sweeping away most the expedition and leaving the president stranded in a crevice. International Rescue are sent out to head up the rescue - and despite the Tracy family's disgust of politicians, saving the president is vital in order to prevent a civil war from erupting in the region.
