"Terror Beneath the Waves" is an original comic that was published in 1968's Thunderbirds annual. As with all stories in the annual, no writer or artist are credited.
Synopsis[]
Brains, in his guise as 'Professor Hackenbacker', attends the launching of 'Operation Seaflash' along with two of the world's other top scientists. Seaflash is a special nuclear missile that can be launched from a submarine in order to intercept a missile in space. However, the launch tube jams and Seaflash becomes trapped inside the submarine, with its nuclear warhead activated and waiting to explode at any given moment. With the submarine captain unwilling to surface the vessel because of their proximity to a settled area, Brains discreetly contacts International Rescue for help. But Thunderbird 4 can't extricate the missile from the outside, and 'Professor Hackenbacker' is forced to step up to save everyone on board.
