Sir William Frazer is a character from 30 Minutes After Noon. He works for the British Security Service, codenamed 21.
Sir William was voiced by David Graham.
Behind the Scenes[]
The character of William Frazer dates back much further than 30 Minutes After Noon. He would appear as "Agent 21" in the very first issue of TV Century 21, who was the magazine's anonymous in-universe editor. He would later gain a strip of his own in issue 21 (June 12, 1965) and the character's identity would be given as Brent Cleever, supposedly a salesman for Century 21 Toys Inc., but in reality a Universal Secret Service agent. The Agent 21 strip, set in the 2040s, would act as a prequel series for "TV21-verse", setting up familiar concepts such as the Zodiac family, Space City and the XL fleet of spacecraft, Marineville and the World Aquanaut Security Patrol, Bereznik, as well as the World Government and a younger Nikita Bandranaik.
A biography published in the 1966 TV Century 21 annual would reveal that Brent Cleever was a cover name, and that agent 21 was born as William Frazer. He would sometime later inherit the Sir title from his father, after his passing in 2037.
In 1967, the "Agent 21" strip (now going by the name of "21 Special Agent") would be rebranded as "Mr. Magnet". The prequel nature of the strip would also end, and timejump into 2067 to show a partially retired Cleever. While tinkering, a freak accident leaves him with magnetic "superpowers", forcing him to invent a depolarising device to cancel out its effect. With his new powers, he leaves retirement and takes up a position in the World Government, working directly for the President. In 1968, a storyline would see him lose his powers, and the strip would be rebranded to "Secret Agent 21".
With both characters having the same name, virtually identical careers, and matching codenames, it is safe to say they are intended to be the same.
