Simon Archer (April 8th, 1957 - September 14th, 1993) was a journalist and press officer. He was additionally Gerry Anderson's first biographer.
In the 1990s, Archer worked on a manuscript for Anderson's first biography. Archer tragically died on 14 September 1993 following a car accident on the M25 motorway, aged 36. The manuscript was unfinished at the time of his death; writer Stan Nicholls subsequently completed the manuscript, and Anderson's biography was published in 1996.
Outside of this, Archer also contributed to the new series of comics published in Thunderbirds The Comic, writing Wall of Death among others.
Five years later, a second biography was mooted with Anderson insisting that Archer's manuscript be used in the form of groundwork, with Marcus Hearn responsible for revising it.
