The Sherpa Pod is an arctic rescue vehicle, configured using the Earth POD. The Sherpa Pod has a ground travel trolley with caterpillar tracks on the bottom, underground travel caterpillar tracks on the top and sides, and a front mounted heat cone with side mounted extendable robotic arms.
Launch Sequence[]
To launch the Sherpa Pod, the operator steps on the platform in Thunderbird 2’s cockpit, lowering them into the module. They then select the Sherpa Pod configuration. Robotic arms attach the ground travel trolley with caterpillar tracks to the bottom, the underground travel caterpillar tracks to the top and sides, and the heat cone to the front. Once configured, the operator gets into the Earth Pod, and the Module door opens, ready for the Sherpa Pod to be deployed.
