The Red Arrow is a USAF hypersonic fighter plane that appears in Edge Of Impact. The aircraft is launched by a variable pitch launch ramp and powered by twin rockets. The Red Arrow can reach of speeds in excess of 4,000 mph. According to General Bron, the Red Arrow is capable of defeating any other jet fighter in the world because of its sheer speed.
History[]
The Red Arrow was to become the world's most powerful jet fighter. Under the orders of General Bron, The Hood used a homing device to make Red Arrow 1 go completely off course and crash into a nearby hangar, killing the pilot, Race. However, Brains assembled a Diversion Detector for the Red Arrow, a device that could tell if the aircraft was being pulled off course. This proved very useful when The Hood sabotaged Red Arrow 2 and made it crash into a telecommunications tower. Fortunately, Goddard, the pilot of Red Arrow 2, managed to eject before the crash.

- Apart from the miniature model pictured above, an even smaller one was made for the scene where Red Arrow 2 slams into the British Telecom Tower. This ultra-miniature was also seen briefly in The Cham-Cham, parked next to RTL 2's hangar.
- The Red Arrow is seemingly based off the real life Saab 35 Draken super-sonic fighter aircraft, used by Sweden from 1960 to 1999. The aircraft are nearly identical, with the Red Arrow differing only in additional engines attached via pylons.
