The Matthews Field Commander is a character from The Cham-Cham. He is the commander of Matthews Field Air Force Base.

Assigned to transporting Poseidon missiles on a top-secret mission from his Matthews Field Air Base, the commander cannot fathom how one after another, three of his RTL-2 aircraft have been pinpointed and shot down.
The crew are told only to open their flight plans once the plane is airborne, but despite this, the planes are still located and shot down by unidentifed fighter jets
Orders are issued.

- The same puppet also played both the World Navy Commander and a man at the Australian Mountain Pass in Atlantic Inferno, a restaurant customer in Path of Destruction, Doctor Pringle in Give or Take a Million, and the public relations officer in Thunderbirds Are Go. In Thunderbird 6, it puts in a cameo as a diner at the Whistle Stop Inn.
