
Mary Turner
Mary Turner (born July 16th, 1933) is a retired British puppeteer. She was credited with puppetry supervision on Thunderbirds season 1 and 2. She was additionally the puppet coordinator on Thunderbird 6. Turner also worked for AP Films / Century 21 on Fireball XL5, Supercar, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, and The Secret Service.
Turner gave invaluable help with research for 21st Century Visions, and was interviewed for Filmed in Supermarionation (both the book and documentary). Additionally an interview with her was published in issue 19 of Andersonic.
In 2015, she worked as a puppet operator on The Stately Homes Robberies, one of The Anniversary Episodes.
Her late, younger sister Carolyn Turner also worked on Thunderbirds.

Trivia[]
- She and Ken Turner share the same surname, however they are not related.
- Her late brother-in-law Wolfgang Manthey was a puppeteer who worked for Gerry and Sylvia Anderson on Stingray (1963-64).
