"It's...it's International Rescue. Wilson, it's International Rescue!"

Lindsey is an archaeologist who works for an outfit called Salar. Along with his friend and fellow archaeologist, Wilson, he's fronting an expedition in the Sahara Desert. The object of their search: the legendary Lost Pyramid of Khamandides.

But Lindsey's obsession with finding it lands both of them - as well as International Rescue - in grave danger...

Voiced by Matt Zimmerman, Lindsey appears in The Uninvited.

Biography[]

Saving Scott[]

The Salar expedition takes an unexpected turn - quite literally - when Wilson and Lindsey's desert jeep comes across the recently-crashed Thunderbird 1 and its injured pilot, Scott Tracy...

The two archaeologists take Scott under their wing, rendering first-aid for his injuries and contacting International Rescue at his behest...

Search for the Pyramid[]

After Scott was nursed back to health by his fellow members of International Rescue and they returned to base, Lindsey and Wilson continued their search for the pyramid. Lindsey began complaining that Wilson was driving too fast, but his colleague ignored him until their trailer of supplies which included their gasoline came loose and blew to pieces. Lindsey berated Wilson for this but thankfully their radio was thrown clear though slightly damaged. They tried calling for International Rescue, but had low hopes of them receiving it. It finally packed in and with little fuel left, the two archaeologists decide to at least go somewhere to get a cold drink of water. They reach the oasis but it has dried up, so they go on. After some driving, they finally find what they had been searching for; the lost pyramid of the Khamandides.

After reading some hieroglyphics, the two find the door surprising open for them and they enter. The door closes behind them and after seeing a human skeleton near the entrance discover that they're trapped. However they hear the sound of a fountain and go to happily quench their thirst. Also to their joy, they find lots of treasure.

Rescued by Scott[]

Meanwhile International Rescue had intercepted their call for help and Scott is sent to the Sahara to rescue them. He finds the pyramid and it opens for him just like it did for the archaeologists.

He finds Lindsey and Wilson still marvelling over the treasure but in a moment of insanity from his life threatening experiences, Lindsey opens fire on Scott, destroying his communicator to radio for help, saying he is trying to steal their riches, in spite of Wilson's protests whom he shoots at as well, but his colleague dives for cover.

A gun fight ensues between Scott and Lindsey with Scott losing his weapon and Lindsey preparing for the final kill, now holding Scott's own gun. Strange people known as the Zombites (an evil strike force who were using the temple as part of their hideout) suddenly appear and disarm Lindsey, knocking him unconscious.

Whilst Lindsey is still unconscious, he is taken along with Scott and Wilson as hostages by the Zombites to their leader who plans to destroy TB2 piloted by Scott's brothers Virgil and Gordon who had come to help in the rescue of the archaeologists.

Lindsey regains consciousness just as Scott and Wilson manage to escape and Scott sabotages the containers of gas in the base, killing some of the Zombites including their leader, creating a massive build up which would blow it to pieces. They quickly escape the pyramid, which is now open thanks to one of the Zombite guards collapsing on it's lever and Scott uses his wrist watch communicator to warn his brothers to stay away from the pyramid and the three men quickly climb into TB1 and take off. Just as they leave the pyramid, it is blown apart, leaving nothing but a bare crater leaving the lost pyramid, lost forever.

Lindsey and Wilson marvel at their escape, feeling relieved and extremely grateful to International Rescue for saving them.

Trivia[]

  • According to the comic adaptation of The Uninvited, Lindsey's moment of insanity was caused by the Zombites drugging the water in the Eternal Fountain.
  • Lindsey's puppet is one of the few minor-character puppets with a so-called "blinker" head, meaning it could close and open its eyes.
  • Lindsey's puppet also appeared - in a somewhat-modified form - in City of Fire, as Joe Carter.
