"Grandma Tourismo" is the 18th episode of Thunderbirds Are Go! season 2. It was first broadcast on the 28th of October, 2017.
Plot[]
Virgil and Grandma are out resupplying Tracy Island when a distress call comes in: a mine is in danger of collapsing in the desert. When Virgil goes to help the workers, he gets caught in a massive sandstorm leaving Grandma to save the day.

Grandma Tracy: "Just like riding a bike. A 406 ton bike."
Grandma Tracy: "Don't you worry, I'll be there any minute. You tell the others."
Virgil: "FAB. (To workers) My grandma says don't worry, she's comin' to pick us up!"
Foreman: "Your grandma?!"

- It is revealed that Grandma Tracy's name is Sally.
- Grandma states that she taught Jeff how to fly. Virgil and John say that it was a single-engine plane and that it was a long (long, long) time ago. Up From the Depths Part 2 previously alluded to Grandma's flight experience.
- The single-engine plane, mentioned by Virgil, could be a reference to Thunderbird 6.
- This is the first time that Grandma is seen operating one of the Thunderbird fleet and also a rescue pod.
- This is also the first time that somebody other than a Tracy brother has piloted Thunderbird 2.
- John reveals that Virgil is his older brother.
- The episode title is a play on the phrase "Gran Turismo", which is Italian for "grand tour".
- This is the second episode taking Grandma off Tracy Island for a mission. The first, Unplugged, also paired her with Virgil aboard Thunderbird 2.
- It's left ambiguous as to whether Virgil's "look after her" refers to Thunderbird 2 looking after Grandma Tracy, or Grandma Tracy looking after Thunderbird 2.
