London International Airport's emergency services are housed in an outbuilding close to the runway. The building contains fire tenders and ambulances that can quickly be called upon in the event of an emergency.
They were required in Trapped in the Sky to assist International Rescue when Fireflash had to make a emergency landing; Edge Of Impact, when Red Arrow 1 went out of control; and finally in Alias Mr. Hackenbacker for the Flight D-103 and Skythrust. In the latter episode, both planes were required to make emergency landings.
Footage of the emergency services from Trapped in the Sky was reused in the Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons episode Flight 104.
