The director of photography is a character from Martian Invasion. He is part of the film crew for Goldheimer's latest movie.

- The puppet that played the Director of Photography also appeared as Lieutenant Burroughs in Operation Crash-Dive, as an Helijet Pilot in both City of Fire and The Impostors, and as Asher in Sun Probe. In Vault Of Death, it played Executive Carter. In The Perils of Penelope, it made a cameo appearance at the Solar Control Centre, and as a waiter on board the Anderbad Express. Two pictures of the puppet can be seen hanging on the wall in Maxie's office, in the episode The Cham-Cham.
