Quotes[]

John: "Even with a protective suit, the radiation's dangerous. If you're inside too long..."
Scott: "Like taking a bath in poison."
John: "A little dramatic, but sure, that works."

Marion: "This is as normal as it gets for me. But I've grown a lot with the GDF."
Scott: "I can tell. Last time we met, you were a little..."
Marion: "Rude?"
Scott: "You attacked me with a giant mech suit."

Scott: "We'll look around after we get you to safety."
Marion: "Actually, no. You rescue our guard, I'll find the intruder."
Scott: "Marion, wait! That's the GDF's job... and you're the GDF."

Scott: "See you around, Lieutenant Van Arkel."
Marion: "(chuckles) Hopefully somewhere far away from radiation and dangerous thieves."
Scott: "Speaking of thieves..."
Virgil: "I know. I owe you popcorn."

Trivia[]

  • This episode features the return of Marion Van Arkel, who has not been seen since her debut in season 1's Crosscut.
    • Additionally, this episode has a remarkably similar storyline, with both episodes featuring use of the Mole.
  • Scott wears a different uniform during this mission, which is specially designed to be used in areas of excessive radiation.
  • Footage from the AP Films production Stingray is shown as a family movie Scott is watching before he gets the rescue call. This is the second time in this series to feature footage from Stingray; the first was in Ring of Fire Part 1 as a TV show. A model of the eponymous submarine would be shown in Deep Water.
  • This is the first time since Chaos Part 2 that Scott has flown Thunderbird 1.
  • The Shackleton Power Plant may be a reference to Keith Shackleton, who passed away earlier in 2019.
