Cass McCready is the London fire chief, who made her debut in Inferno.
When the Crystal Spire was having its official opening, McCready advised Howard Yost not to overload the power outage of his new tower. But he totally ignored her advice, so as a result his new skyscraper caught fire.
McCready and her firefighting team set to work to rescue the people trapped at the top of the building. Initially, she turned down International Rescue's call for help, but when the blaze turned out to be too much even for her and her team's wealth of experience, she called International Rescue for help. Having arrived aboard Thunderbird 2, Virgil Tracy donned a fire-protective version of his Jaws Of Life. However, upon entering the blazing inferno, Virgil had to be rescued by McCready and her team when the floor beneath his feet gave way.
Taking the elevator shaft, Virgil, McCready and her team reached the top of the building. Thanks to Alan Tracy's suggestion, they both agreed to cut the top of the building off. McCready almost fell off outside the building, but Virgil rescued her.
After the rescue, McCready suggested to Virgil that they should meet each other again someday.
In Getaway, McCready worked alongside Virgil once again when Davina Nicholson was trapped underneath some rubble underneath a collapsed building alongside the London Underground.
