Calling Thunderbirds (later retitled as Peril in Peru) is the second paperback novel released by Armada Books in 1966. The novel was written by John Theydon, and features another new adventure starring the International Rescue family of heroes.

- This story makes reference to the events of both the previous novel and Desperate Intruder.
- Calling Thunderbirds was republished with a new cover by Titan Books in 1990.
- In 2021, the book would be republished yet again as Peril in Peru by Anderson Entertainment, along with an accompanying audiobook adaptation. The reissue, edited by Chris Dale, would change the genders of a number of minor Peruvian characters.
