Bob Gray is the manager of the Gray & Houseman Mining Company, who appears in Night and Day. He was voiced by Richard Ridings.
Operating on the 'dark' side of Mercury, his company uses a gigantic crawler machine to extract minerals from the depths of the planet. However, when a malfunctioning pod puts the machine out of action as well as their escape pods, Bob has to call International Rescue for help. Alan and Brains come aboard Thunderbird 3 to help get the machine moving again.
Bob helps Alan in placing some solar panels some distance from the crawler to get some of the sun's energy to recharge the engine's batteries. However, when that plan fails, Brains decides to use Thunderbird 3 to give the crawler a big push; that plan works, but a little too well as a crawler track gives way. So, Bob summons his team to work with International Rescue to get the machine going again.
Once the machine was fixed, Bob thanked International Rescue for their help.
