Andi Houseman is the chief mechanic of the Gray & Houseman Mining Company.
When a malfunctioning pod puts their crawler machine out of action, she was the first to inform her boss Bob Gray about the situation, stating that their engine was "toast". When she was informed that International Rescue were coming to help them, Andi was very reluctant in getting help from someone else, but had no choice, but to accept their assistance.
When Brains tried using his various tools to fix the engine, nothing seemed to work. Andi advised him that they make do with what they've got, so Brains put that principle into practice by using Thunderbird 3 to give the machine a big push. After that attempt only succeeded in causing a crawler track to give way, Andi and Brains worked together with the miners to fix the machine.
Once the crawler machine was fixed again, Andi thanked International Rescue for their help; Brains even gave her a tool case to ensure that they can fix it in case it goes wrong again.[1]
